Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was reached following an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
He has published in excess of 40 works combined, which features a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
