The winter transfer window is always a period of significant rumour and possible big-money moves. A number of high-profile stars are being linked with moves away from their current teams. We examine a selection of the top names that could be on the move this month.

This proven England centre-forward has kept scoring regularly in Saudi Arabia. Coming back to the Premier League might boost his dwindling hopes of being in the national squad. This teenager is widely tipped to complete a big-money transfer this month. Newcastle are believed to be leading the chase, but are facing stiff rivalry from the Spanish champions for a deal valued at around twenty-two million pounds.
