A representative detailed the previous night's conditions as "awful", with downpours so severe that as much as 15cm (6in) of water gathered on the terrain.

"These conditions was truly horrendous for the families. The storms were so strong... And the winds were so forceful," noted the representative.

Authorities voice significant worry that young ones residing in makeshift shelters in damp garments will contract hypothermia and additional sicknesses.

Deaths and Extensive Damage

Medical officials have confirmed that one baby has passed away from the cold and at least 11 other people have lost their lives in structural failures triggered by the harsh conditions.

Additional accounts put a increased death toll. Spokespeople stated that multiple homes had collapsed completely and dozens had been partly destroyed.

  • Nearly 55,000 families affected by flooding.
  • More than 40 designated shelters severely flooded.
  • Many people forced to find new shelter.

Assistance Operations Deemed Not Enough

Organizations have escalated distribution of shelter, blankets and clothing since the truce began, but they have said there is remains not enough aid reaching those in need.

"Officials are striving constantly to provide that assistance and to allocate it, but the size of the requirements is so vast that we continue to see many thousands of people and children who are truly struggling every night," stated one spokesperson.

Future Concerns and Ceasefire Provisions

The subsequent part of the agreement involves arrangements for the reconstruction of Gaza, along with political arrangements, the pullback of personnel, and other terms.

Relief bodies have highlighted the need for "greater and continuous relief to respond to immediate and long-term requirements."

The conflict was initiated by an assault in late 2023. Following actions have led to a significant number of lives lost in the region, according to health ministry data.
